Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
