The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
